Lucy Donnelly Holiday Festival and Parade Kickoff Event

The festival kicks off Friday, November 16th with a slew of Events:
FRIDAY 11/16
4:30 PM: | “It’s A Wonderful Life” Movie • Indiana Theater, 637 Philadelphia Street, Indiana, PA
Free admission to the movie!
5:00 PM — 7:00 PM: | The Jimmy Stewart Museum • 835 Philadelphia Street, Indiana, PA
Under the museum canopy, their staff will distribute free BOGO passes for the museum and the Alliance Church will once again have their delicious free goodies. The museum will be closed so that everyone can enjoy all of the outdoor activities.
5:00 PM — 7:00 PM: | Holiday Family Activities • IRMC Park, located at North 7th Street & Philadelphia Street, Indiana, PA
Roasting Marshmallows – Hot Chocolate – Kettle Corn – Crafts – Music – Hayrides –
Smiley giving out cookies – Indiana Junior High School Spirit Band at 6:00 PM.
7:00 PM: | Lucy Donnelly Holiday Parade • Starts at 11th Street and ends at 5th Street, Indiana, PA
Holiday parade featuring area groups, bands, and organizations.
After the parade | Tree Lighting • IRMC Park, located at North 7th Street & Philadelphia Street, Indiana, PA
After the parade, watch with excitement the lighting of a 30-foot LIVE tree, donated by local tree grower Ron
Mancabelli.
After the parade | Visit with Santa • Throughout IRMC Park, located at North 7th Street & Philadelphia Street, Indiana, PA
Santa will mingle with guests after the parade.
Additional Activities Happening Throughout the Night:
S&T Bank will be serving fresh popcorn and distributing glow necklaces.
Diamond Drug will be giving away free hot dogs.
SATURDAY 11/17
2:00 PM — 8:00 PM | Holiday Wheels and Thrills: A Model Train Display: University Museum • Sutton Hall Room 111, IUP, 1011 South Drive, Indiana, PA 15705
This creative exhibit will include a variety of model train displays, a holiday quilt display, antique toys, decorated trees and more. Donations accepted for Teddy Bear Fund Drive.
SUNDAY 11/18 – Merry Matinees
All movies begin at 2 PM. | Indiana Theater 637 Philadelphia Street, Indiana, PA.
Free Admission. Concessions available.

The First Commonwealth Bank It’s a Wonderful Life Festival brings Santa to IRMC Park each Saturday from noon to 5 pm as well as musical entertainment and the opportunity to purchase holiday treats from local nonprofits. Visitors also will enjoy dining and shopping in our historic, walkable downtown. As evening draws near, don’t miss the Christmas light displays throughout Indiana’s downtown, some of which were once a part of the “Festival of Lights” at Blue Spruce Park for many years. On Sundays during the festival, families can enjoy Merry Matinees at the Indiana Theater as Downtown Indiana presents five favorite holiday classics.
The Jimmy Stewart Museum is another must-see on any holiday trip to Indiana. In addition to the exhibits chronicling the legendary actor’s life and career, the Museum will show “It’s a Wonderful Life” every day at 1 pm from November 17 – December 30. And a visit to Indiana at the holidays would not be complete, without purchasing your tree in the Christmas Tree Capital of the World, as we celebrate 100 years of growing Christmas trees in Indiana County.
